80. Ainsa to El Pont de Suert

We woke to the sound of no rain!!! Yeeha!

And the views from the back of our guest house was spectacular!

Overall…a lovely day of riding.

Best just to let the pictures do the talking!

Some big climbs…..

…and some lovely descents.

And a trip through an improbably narrow gorge…complete with multiple tunnels. Great stuff.

And at the bottom…a small river dividing the region of Aragon and Catalonia…so now back in the region where this whole trip started! And into the Province of Lleida! Oh dear! That resonates with Liz and I after a very unnerving night spent in the city of Lleida. We always laugh whenever we see a signpost to the city…for it is not somewhere we ever plan to return to!!

And so to Pont de Suert.

A singularly unimpressive town.

The only place open was the kebab shop! Good kebabs they were too!

But alas…today…Nae’s woes got worse…with the appearance of a rash! Oh dear….chest infection, stomach ills, sore neck, sore knee…and now this. Conclusion? She has decided that she is evidently allergic to Spain! Not a very happy chappy…poor thing.

Looks like this would have been one of the more stunning days of riding yet 👌🏼
