The sun shone!
We had breakfast in the wee town of Ribadesella…
…and then made a small detour to a bike shop! My tyre – itself – was evidently not leaking air ( you would see the sealant leaking)! We had replaced the valve in Santiago…so there was only one option…and that was to replace the tape which is secured to the wheel itself to stop air escaping through the spoke holes! So that is what our guy did! And….fingers crossed…it seems to have done the trick! Those slow ‘punctures’ are just so frustrating!
On to Llanes for lunch…another prior-planned overnight stop (but full up!!). Sweet town.
Overall a really pleasant day’s riding….on to our overnight at Pechon….where we cycled down to the beach. I thought I was on for a swim…..but there was still a nip in the air, and that combined with a cool wind…and big waves…made me wimp out!!
Tonight’s accommodation was a large old hotel…complete with games room. So we enjoyed a game of table-football….but my defence was a bit compromised! Legless right back could not actually reach the ball! Haha
Great charcoal-grilled meal next door….backgammon and bed.
