The reason for the big day yesterday…is that we were on a mission to catch a ferry to Skopelos….and we did not want to spend last night on the wrong side of the big hill!!
So…having made it this far…now only 13km to the ferry port…it was a very relaxed start to the day!!
So we headed off at 9.30….for the meander down to the port….where our SeaJets ferry had been overnighting.
Quite a strange port here. For there is no settlement at all. Just a fairly untidy port….seemingly in the middle of nowhere! One wondered really where all te passengers had come from. Not that there were very many!
Only an hour across to Skiathos…….

…..and fifteen minutes further to Glossa (Loutraki)……and Skopelos!!

Where we picked up hire cars…to go and pick up….Liz, Chloe, Anna, Fred, Walter and wee Bert…who had all flown into Skiathos ex-Stansted and arrived on the ferry at around 5pm!
For a week of family fun!!
So…the blog too will take a break…..
