The reason for the big day yesterday\u2026is that we were on a mission to catch a ferry to Skopelos\u2026.and we did not want to spend last night on the wrong side of the big hill!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\u2026having made it this far\u2026now only 13km to the  ferry port\u2026it was a very relaxed start to the day!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we headed off at 9.30\u2026.for the meander down to the port\u2026.where our SeaJets ferry had been overnighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quite a strange port here. For there is no settlement at all. Just a fairly untidy port\u2026.seemingly in the middle of nowhere! One wondered really where all te passengers had come from. Not that there were very many!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only an hour across to Skiathos\u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u2026..and fifteen minutes further to Glossa (Loutraki)\u2026\u2026and Skopelos!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gorgeously and unusually green island\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u2026\u2026.famous for its Mama Mia church\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This is where we are staying!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Where we picked up hire cars\u2026to go and pick up\u2026.Liz, Chloe, Anna, Fred, Walter and wee Bert\u2026who had all flown into Skiathos ex-Stansted and arrived on the ferry at around 5pm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a week of family fun!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\u2026the blog too will take a break\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
