After an early start\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026..today we headed inland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Through lots of citrus groves. St Clements\u2026as oranges jostled with lemons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And here\u2026they are still picking oranges!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The sweet smell pervaded everywhere\u2026but soon changed to the sweet smell of pigs!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Piggeries everywhere! Probably not the best conditions for the pigs\u2026but they do produce wonderful pork, and bacon, and ham, and chorizo, and salami\u2026..yum!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cycling today was not hard\u2026but it was COLD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then\u2026.a few hours in\u2026the rain started once again. After a dry day in Cartagena, we thought we had seen the last of it. But no! Not a drenching sort of rain\u2026just a dampening rain. So not too problematic\u2026but made the cold feel even colder!! Is this the last of it???<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We pulled into Puerto Lambreros relatively early\u2026and struggled with more electronic locks at our hostal (what is wrong with old-fashioned keys!?)\u2026but the neighbour helpfully allowed us to keep our bikes in the shop next door!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An odd we town\u2026..this is the view from my balcony:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a stop on the road really\u2026for us\u2026and for lots of other folk it seems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We found a wee bar\u2026serving charcoal grilled meat. But no food until 8.30\u2026(too late for tired cyclists!)..so went for a wander. And could not find anything else so returned to the same place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ran with the mixed grill\u2026.including the Spanish Lizard (superb pork tenderloin!)\u2026 neither of us however were tempted with Marriage\u2026or the Latvians!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
