A rest day really\u2026and more restful than most!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026don\u2019t you love that 29m journey time!!? Average speed over 800km\/hr!! Haha\u2026a Strava spaz!<\/p>\n\n\n\n


After a quick breakfast en route\u2026we were on the ferry by 8am.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

And it did not arrive into Cagliari until around 8pm!! (A bit frustrating..in that the last time I took this (once a week!) ferry\u2026it was an overnighter!\u2026much better!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But\u2026not a bad ferry at all. Grimaldi again\u2026but not half as grim as our last ferry from Igoumenitsa to Brindisi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

We had booked a cabin (..sans double bed\u2026hahaha!)\u2026.so we could lie down\u2026.read\u2026.sleep \u2026.between cups of coffee and bits of food!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Better than that\u2026it had a pool! And for the first time in my experience of these ferries\u2026it was full of water! All but deserted\u2026but I used it! Three strokes long\u2026but wasted a good chunk of time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So\u2026cannot complain really\u2026and  Grimaldi has gone up a notch in my estimation!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A bit of time to catch up on the blog\u2026and emails\u2026even if I could not actually post..nor send anything!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I slept! A snore-less (I am assured!) two hours! And had a great shower\u2026so we were ready to hit Cagliari\u2026.fresh and clean!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrived on time at around 9pm\u2026but by the time we had found our apartment (\u2026it was dark by then\u2026and I literally fell into it..for there was an unseen one foot step DOWN into the house!)\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026and rushed out again\u2026it was nearly 10pm by the time we received our food!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u2026and 11.30 by the time we got to bed!! Ok not very late really\u2026but for early starters\u2026with lots of hot biking to do\u2026it was VERY late!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sweet street we were living in\u2026(taken the next morning)\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2026.even if the bedroom was windowless\u2026.and airless\u2026and the whole place was a bit too \u201cbijou\u201d!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
