A long day today…..

….but a relatively easy day!

First…an amble around Davos’ lake…

……a short climb to our last Alpine pass….

Before a long long descent! That is Klosters…

….where we left the road….and stayed off it almost all day!

Great riding……as steep hills gave way to relaxed paths…..some gravel…some tarmac….

Swiss loveliness…..
And then we were down to a new river. The Rhine!! As you might not have seen it before…..

We re-joined the road…..for a wee climb up to the South border of Liechtenstein……

……and stopped for a coffee in the capital of Vaduz…..not a very exciting place (..on a Sunday to be fair!)…in the country with the highest GDP per person in Europe! (With a population equal to Blenheim’s!)
Nice countryside though…..

……as we cycled to rejoin the Rhine…a bit bigger now! Switzerland on the left….Liechtenstein on the right…and we swapped banks a few times…hence the extended title of today’s ride! (…starting to miss the hills already…all a bit flat now!)

We were on the Liechtenstein side…when we crossed into Austria!

….from where it was a hot but leisurely ride……

…down to Lochau on the shore of Lake Constance (or Bodensee as it is known here).

One minute later we jumped in! Almost too warm!! But gorgeous all the same!
Another seriously hot day as Europe is experiencing another heatwave! So beers were very welcome!
Only one for Corey though…before he moved onto Ice Cream!! Hahaha (…so much for Protein powder!…I will stop teasing him now…..!!)

Nice spot for tomorrow…..!!
