Time for a rest…and changeover time!
It is always a bit surprising when these changeovers actually work! For obvious reasons they have to be planned well in advance!
So Corey flew into Munich…spent the night….and then made his way by train and two buses to this little town…..whilst Andrew is doing the exact opposite!
Amazingly…the day after Corey arrived…and the day before Andrew leaves…the two of them went for a wee walk! And at every turn it looked better ahead…so they ended up climbing up 1,000 metres and walking over 20km!! (…meanwhile…I was resting….blogging….relaxing!!). Here are a few pictures they took! Amazing!

As I said before…the Dolomites are a real playground for anyone who enjoys walking, climbing, biking, mountain biking…with an extraordinary range of trails everywhere. And if you are feeling a bit lazy you can take cable cars (with your bike)…so enjoy the hills without the grunt!! So good to see!!
Day Two of our stop here…Andrew headed off! It has been a truly extraordinary three weeks of riding…the longest of days..the most scary of days…and just a huge range of experiences as we crossed 11 international borders as we travelled up through the Balkans!
In total….over a little more than three weeks we rode 1,979km and completed a huge 26,750 metres of climbing!!
It has been great! Thank you Andrew! Thankfully he got over his absurd financial prudence and we did not stay in any hostels(!!!). One funny thing about Andrew: he is an expert in the bush, finding his way with no problem in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Put him in Europe….and he would struggle to find his way out of a paper bag!! Hilarious really!
And one other piece of advice….just a reminder really…..do not forget to get a hearing test!! That was the only irritation really…he would acknowledge where we might meet or where we were going…but in fact he had not heard at all!! But if that was the worst thing…that is not too bad after three weeks living in each others’ pockets!!
Given my prior comment….Corey and I made sure Andrew got on the right bus this morning….hoping that he’d get off in the right town for the next one!!

And so now Corey takes over the mantle…complete with his big stash of protein powder (….really?…..haha!!)……
Many more stories to come….I am sure!!
