A rest day!
So no great excitement today.
Except my tyre is flat again! Pumped it up and took it to the one bike shop in town…but no ability to deal with tubeless tyres….so hopefully we can sort it at a bigger city tomorrow!
So it was largely a day of bringing this blog up to date….resting…..and wandering around!
The blog was frustrating! They have changed how the thing works…so plenty of re-learning how to post stuff. And then my iphone photos would not load. You know….computer things are great when they work…but when they go wrong…it drives me nuts! I ended up having to take screen shots of some of the photos…simply to get them to load! Nuts! So apologies for the quality etc!! Let’s hope I am a fast learner!!
Otherwise….bike tyre worries aside…it was a chill day…..to describe which I will leave it to the photos to do the talking!!
Berat is a special place. Not only a deserved Unesco site…but right at the start of some serious mountains….offering rafting, canyoning, great walking, mountain biking etc etc.
Plenty of Albanians here for Easter…and a good number of foreign tourists (mostly German)…but I am confident that it will not be long before this place is rammed!
Meals and beers….for both of us…for less than 10 euros/pounds.
Great value too!
Certainly worthy of more nights than the two we enjoyed here.
